“Family” is a work made in cyanotype with photographs and flower decorations.
(para el español clica aquí)
The portraits of your family (motherline, ancestors, granpas, siblings, etc.) will be printed on canvas with a decoration made with real flowers and plants. Each decoration will be different and the style can be according to your liking.
You only need to choose your favorite photo(s) of your family, and send them in digital format to email@example.com, to be transformed into a beautiful homage to those you love. It will be a personalized work, made only for you.
I will transform your digital image(s) into a negative, and use them together with the flowers and plants to make the final photographic print. My proposal is to have them printed on canvas, with a blue cotton string freely passing through, so to hang them like small flags on a doorway frame, over a fireplace, on a furniture, wall, etc. They will be free to move over the string. The prints will be 15x15cm (6×6″) ca., to fit into a very nice gift box. The price will be 50 euros for one decorated print, and 40 euros for the succesive ones if you want a series of different photos. Cyanotype prints on paper are a simpler option, right to frame them, without the blue cotton string. Price will be 40 euro for one decorated print and 30 for the succesive ones. For a large work, please contact me.
In a search for the feeling of belonging and well-being, inside a context of relationships I’ve being working for many years on my large family tree, built with the help of other people.
I realized how common this feeling, or the search of it, can be throughout the world, being such a basic need in our lives. So I decided to offer this work, to people who are cultivating the same sense of identity and inner healing when loved for what we are inside our family. This work can also be a precious gift.
Please, share this project, if you liked it. Feel free to write me through the contact page if you have any suggestions or if you wish to know more and ask for a personalization.
Thank you very much.
